Place Properties was founded in 2003 by Olivia Stuart-Harris. A Sheffield born businesswoman, respected property developer and interior designer.

Olivia spotted an opportunity in the Sheffield professional property lettings market, after noticing that there was an overflow of student accommodation but a lack of high standard professional accommodation for let. With the number of professionals increasing in the city, in line with local commerce, Olivia saw an opportunity to help meet this demand.

“There was a desperate need for improved standards within professional property letting in Sheffield. After I started the business, it quickly became clear that I was doing the right thing. We were regularly receiving positive feedback from professionals viewing our properties, saying they were the best they’d seen.”

In 2004, Place Properties moved into professional ‘house share’ lets:

Place Properties has maintained its values and even though it has grown in size it is still very much a family business:
