Place Properties was founded in 2003 by Olivia Stuart-Harris, a Sheffield-born entrepreneur, property developer and interior designer with a passion for creating high-quality homes for professionals.

Recognising a gap in the market, Olivia identified that while Sheffield had an abundance of student accommodation, there was a shortage of high-quality homes designed specifically for working professionals. As the city’s professional workforce continued to grow alongside local business and commerce, Place Properties was established to meet that demand.

In 2004, Place Properties expanded into professional house shares in response to growing demand from professionals seeking high-quality accommodation and the opportunity to live alongside like-minded housemates.
